Goddess Coloring Pages

gaia

I came across this website that has some wonderful Goddess Coloring pages and thought I would share it with you. I was originally looking for some for my daughter but I think these are going to be great for me as well. Maybe a few will find their way onto my altar. They have lots of different Goddesses. I chose to feature this one of Gaia because I was her this past All Hallow’s Eve. You can find her and more over at www.hellokids.com

Black Salt for Protection

During the waning moon, I like to whip up a fresh batch of Black Salt. The Waning Moon means the moon is decreasing in size, moving from the Full Moon towards the New Moon. This is a time for works that banish, release, reverse. It is also the appropriate time for purification and cleansing. Since Black Salt is used for these same purposes, I spend the fourteen days following the full moon to create and charge a few batches of it.

Known also as Sal Negro, Witches Salt, Drive Away Salt, Voodoo Salt and Santeria Salt, Black Salt has many uses. It is used in spells and rituals involving banishing magick, as added protection against negative energy and to remove hexes and jinxes. It may be sprinkled around your home or property, added to banishing sachets, incenses, and herbal mixtures. A little Black Salt goes a long way.

To make your own batch, you will need a few key ingredients.
Traditionally one would use cauldron scrapings, however in a pinch you may also use fire ash, charcoal, black pepper, or black dye.

* 2 parts sea salt
* 1 part scrapings from a cast iron pot

I go a little bit further because I like to super charge mine. Besides using the waning moon I also like to add the following.

* Clary Sage Essential oil (about 4 drops per every cup of salt)
Clary Sage Oil is good for Protection, cleansing house from negativity, and to use for banishing rituals to remove bad spirits.

* White Sage Leaves Crushed (about 2 medium leaves Per Cup)
Good for Cleansing and Protection.

* Small Jet Stone (crushed)
Jet has been used extensively for protection against evil and all negative energies. Also for purification of energy and vibrations.

* If possible, use pot scrapings after you have burned a mixture of protective herbs in the cauldron.

Once you have pulled your ingredients together, making the salt is simple. In your mortar and pestle, grind up your scrapings, ash or charcoal. Once it is powdered, mix it with your salt and continue mixing until the salt is black. Crush and mix the salt and scrapings together while concentrating on banishing energies and while thinking about all the ways you need to be protected. Bottle it up for future use.

Bathing in Moonlight

Full Moon Ritual Bath Salt Blend

1 Cup ~ Himalayan Salts

1 Tsp. ~ Dried Eucalyptus

1 Tsp. ~ Mugwort

2 Tsp. ~ Jasmine Flowers

3 drops ~ Wintergreen Essential Oil

3 drops ~ Sandalwood Essential Oil

Blend all ingredients together and add 1/4 cup to running bath water. This is a very powerful blend so you do not need much. Tie in cheesecloth and add to water if you wish to keep the herbs together. Adding a couple Moonstones to the bath is also recommended. Soak in water for 20 to 30 minutes while meditating on drawing down the moon’s energy into the water and absorbing it into your body.

This blend is wonderful for:

~ Strengthening your Intuition

~ Increasing the Constructive Lunar Energy for Magical workings.

~ Manifestation of Desires

~ Authentic Expression of Self

 Bath Salt Crystals are great for aches and pains and they have a strong purifying and re-mineralization effect; which restores the balance of energy levels and provides extreme relaxation. The salt minerals penetrate your skin in form of ions. On the day of the full moon the body’s absorption potentials is at peak. Bio-energetic weak points will be balanced and your body’s energy flow will be activated, making these perfect to use before and after any Ritual work. These salts can also be used for Crystal Charging.

Full Moon Alchemy!

On Saturday night there will be a party in the night sky! Around 11:54 p.m. eastern time, we will be witness to what is known as a SuperMoon. A Supermoon occurs when the moon is both making its closet approach to Earth and turning full. This moon will appear up to 30 percent brighter and 14 percent bigger than the dullest moons but it will look largest just as it’s rising over the eastern horizon. This year we also have the spectacular Aquarid meteor shower happening at the same time. The debris from Halley’s comet, known as the Aquarid meteor shower, will blaze a trail through the night sky with up to 40-60 meteors per hour. Be patient and stay alert: individual meteor streaks last only about a second, and sometimes occur in clusters. If you are really lucky, you’ll get to see a bright fireball, some of which are visible even in daytime. It’s awesome to know even the brightest streaks are produced by tiny sand-grain sized vaporizing as they crash into the Earth’s atmosphere. These events will create the perfect setting for some super charged intention work.

The Moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, she has a profound influence upon us. The highest energy occurs at the Full Moon and, therefore, this is the most powerful time for magical workings with the New Moon being the next most powerful time. This is the prime time to preform rituals for prophecy, protection, and divination. Also any working that needs extra power, such as healing for serious conditions, knowledge, legal undertakings, money and dreams. The Moon reaches its fullest point in Scorpio this month, the fixed, water sign of feminine power. The Scorpio energy will add extra power to work involving psychic development, magic and personal power. The Meteor shower will super charge any work done. Although meteors are associated with the fire element predominately, the other elements are also present in hyper force, such as Air, Earth (loose debris, dust, sand, and rocks that are in the meteor shower) and water, from precipitation in the atmosphere. All the elements are present in their heightened state of energy charges making this Saturday evening a most powerful time for your intention work!
